'Business Learning' is a training educational project promoted by Assindustria Reggio aiming at introducing fifth graders to the world of industry and teaching them how to approach post-school pathways. This pilot project opened to primary schools was accessed for the first time by Walvoil and 5th graders of the Elementary School ‘Dante Alighieri’ in Reggio Emilia.
on last May 6th and 7th about 60 children were hosted in the Company. A prep-programme was laid out in collaboration with the school teachers and administered to the students during the weeks preceding the arrival of the students and their introduction to the company. Following their first visit to the company, a workshop took place in the classrooms at school for a critical review of the experience lived at Walvoil’s. During this workshop the students produced some very interesting comments and documents (essays and drawings). Cristina Strozzi, Walvoil Board and Vice-President of educational and relational school activities at the Associazione Industriali commented: "This is a clear evidence of the interest we raised in the aim of better introducing a reality, such as the industrial one, closely related to students starting from primary schools".
