As a corollary to an extraordinary weekend for Walvoil, which started with the visit of the President of the Italian Republic, the Labour Day brings us another special news.
We would like to celebrate and offer our heartfelt congratulations to four of our colleagues, who received the prestigious award “Stella al Merito del Lavoro” (Stars of Labour Merit), on the occasion of the Labour Day, May 1st.

Our “Masters of Labour” are, respectively, Ulderico Busani, Head of the Valves Division of the R&D area, with us for 36 years in Walvoil and Ivano Chiossi, IT Manager, with us for 33 years, both working at Reggio Emilia’s sites, and Gabriele Calzolari, Industrial Technology Manager, with us for 39 years and Paolo Giogoli, Maintenance Manager, with us for 42 years, both working at the headquarters in Castel San Pietro Terme (BO).

The“Stella al Merito” is a special honour, awarded by the President of Italian Republic to those who have distinguished themselves in their careers through exemplary skill, professionalism and commitment.

The ceremony would traditionally be held on the First of May (the Labour Day), but this year, when the centenary of this important award falls, it will be celebrated in December, with a special day dedicated to it.
