Walvoil is bringing the evolution of the ALS - Adaptive Load Sensing System - part of Walvoil's Hydraulic Digital Solution - to the 2026 edition.
The ALS - Adaptive Load Sensing System is no longer just a Load Sensing management system; it is now a system architecture that combines products and new Digital Applications through mechanical and digital parameters, enabling the optimization of functions, critical parameters, and automation.

In its advanced version, Walvoil's ALS is composed of:
• DJW SIL 2 electronic joystick for the cab, serving as the operator Interface (HMI)
• CED1200S SIL 2 electronic control unit
• DPX electro-hydraulic directional control valve with position feedback
• E-VBL safety valve on cylinders
• PWLS piston pump: a piston pump featuring electronic displacement control and an angular sensor for flow-control.
All components comply with international directives and regulations.
The benefits of the ALS-Digital Applications integration are:
• Pressure Margin reduction both during operation and machine inactivity phases
• Definition of control curves and sensitivity that can be easily customised using PHC software
• Definition of different operating conditions to maximise control or productivity
• Dynamic torque and power limitation
• Greater utilisation of installed power
• Reduced fluid heating
• Less instability and oscillations
• Customisable actuation dynamics for more comfortable driving.
In particular, the system optimises the power output of the internal combustion/electric/hybrid engine, the pump flow rate and heat dissipation in the directional valve to ensure energy-efficient operation.
Laboratory and operational tests have shown a reduction in fuel consumption of over 5–6 per cent.
