LET’S PLANT A GREENER FUTURE FOR INDIA

Trees are nature’s greatest gift to mankind, apart from water. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and give life-sustaining oxygen, they filter harmful pollutants and make the air healthier to breathe. Tree roots help the soil store water, thereby reducing water scarcity. Trees are also home to countless bird and animal species, that depend on them for shelter and food.

According to recent estimates, there are approximately 28 trees per person in India. The global average number of trees per person is around 422. This is based on an estimate of 3 trillion trees on Earth.
If we want to call ourselves a truly developed nation by 2047, we should aim for at least 100 trees per person. That’s ambitious, yes, but entirely achievable if we all come together.

Walvoil India sponsored the Giants Group of Garden City, Bangalore's "MEGA TREE SAPLING PLANTATION INITIATIVES" program in order to promote green initiatives.
At the Ashram Home of the Masters, 350 tree saplings were planted on February 8, 2025.
Walvoil India will continue its efforts vigorously in this direction, in the coming years too.
