Orientation and aptitude for education are part of Walvoil's DNA. Always have been. This is confirmed by the numbers of young people and students who visit it every year or begin training paths in the company, and the awards received again this year.

During 2023, Walvoil hosted 60 students in curricular internship/internship activities, and more than 200 students were reached through school visits or other orientation activities carried out in the target areas in Reggio Emilia and province, and Castel San Pietro Terme and Riola, in the Bologna area.

Thanks to its activities, in this late 2023 Walvoil received for the second year in a row the Confindustria BAQ award for quality school-to-work alternation paths, and, last November, also the BITS-ITS Academy, another valuable award given to companies engaged in the dissemination of technical culture and disciplines in the scientific-technological field, thanks to the presence of the ITS MAKER foundations in the territory. The right award for the support and quality of the orientation and training activities carried out with the ITS MAKER foundation, of which Walvoil is also a founding member.

Support for the education of young people does not end with these activities. There are ten scholarships, which Walvoil has made available to deserving students in recent days at the Leopoldo Nobili Technical Institute in Reggio Emilia, one of which is dedicated to Christian Pagliani, a former student and Walvoil employee who died prematurely, but present in the hearts of the company and of many.

A fitting close to a truly extraordinary year for Walvoil, marked by meetings, such as the visit of President Mattarella last April, and equally extraordinary activities and investments: among others, the opening of a second plant in Attibele, India, and the expansion of the production hub with the new Innovation Center at Corte Tegge in Cavriago (RE).
