Over the past year, Walvoil has offered scholarships to the daughters and sons of its employees who have obtained a high school diploma, completed a post-diploma ITS course, or earned a bachelor's or master's degree with top marks.
Below are some of the stories of excellence that fill our company with pride.
GIADA CASTELLANI - daughter of Paolo Castellani, R&D Team Manager.

An intern at Walvoil in the field of electronic design with a focus on technical data analysis, she graduated from the IIS Blaise Pascal in Reggio Emilia, specialising in IT and Telecommunications.
She is currently attending the second year of the Bachelor's Degree Course in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Her goal is to attend her Master's degree abroad, in order to gain experience in an international environment and broaden her knowledge in the fields of engineering, culture and languages.
ILARIA CATRICALA’ – graduated from the Nobili Technical Institute in Reggio Emilia, specialising in Fashion.
She is the daughter of Giuseppina Giorgio, Production Department.

She is currently studying Marketing and Business Organisation at Unimore and, at the same time, works at an accounting firm in the centre of Reggio Emilia.
She sets no limits for herself in the future, wishing to grow professionally and open to new experiences in different sectors, without ruling out a return to fashion with a more complete and versatile profile.
GIORGIA FERRETTI – graduated in 2025 in Architectural Design from the Milan Polytechnic, Mantua campus. She is tthe daughter of Alessandra Croci, Senior Planner at Walvoil.

Giorgia is continuing her studies with a Master's degree in Architectural Design, which is taught in English. Her desire is to enter the profession of architect by registering with the professional association so that she can sign her own projects.
ALESSANDRA and MARIAFEDERICA MONARI - daughters of Marco Monari, After Sales Senior Engineer.

ALESSANDRA graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Verona. She then gained professional experience, including working alongside a general practitioner and volunteering in Kenya.
Since September 2025, she has been working full-time and with satisfaction for AIL, the Italian Association against Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma, providing home care in the Bologna area.
MARIAFEDERICA on the other hand, obtained a master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering. While still a student, she began working for a major telecommunications company in Milan, where, after a couple of months, she was offered a permanent contract. Her main tasks involved network optimisation, monitoring selected KPIs and tracking customer tickets.
In December 2025, she embarked on a new and exciting career path in satellite communications at a major company in Rome, which operates globally in the space sector. She wants to find something she is passionate about and that will one day allow her to find job opportunities abroad.
SORGHI FRANCESCO – graduated as an IT Technician. He is the son of Riccardo Sorghi, Planning and Scheduling Coordinator.

Francesco has always had a clear path in mind: to continue his studies at university in computer engineering, in order to pursue a career in technological sciences.
He is currently in his first year of university and his primary goal is to complete his bachelor's degree.
He is not yet sure whether he will continue his studies after three years or choose to start working; he is also considering a career in entrepreneurship in the sector.
Walvoil extends its heartfelt congratulations to everyone.
It was truly exciting for us to reward so many young people who are examples of dedication and commitment.
Best of luck with your studies and all the challenges that await you!
